Where Amy Has Traveled

Personal travel experience across 34 destinations

  • Oranjestad, Aruba — The most beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and a tropical atmosphere that still feels safe and comfortable like home.
  • Castaway Cay, Bahamas — Everytime I visit is a great time. It's so great for families and has so much to offer. I always say If I could describe my perfect beach day it's my days at Castaway Cay.
  • Coco Cay, Bahamas — After 5 visits I can confirm this is my favorite Cruise Port Destination. Royal Caribbean's Private Island is perfection. So many included beaches, pools, and food. But there are areas in which you can pay to enter like the Water Park, Beach Club, or Adults only Hideaway Beach. Renting a Cabana for the day makes you feel like Royalty. .
  • Nassau, Bahamas — Such a fun and vibrant Cruise Port Stop.
  • Freeport, Bahamas — It is very industrial looking from where the ship docks. However we did a Western Heritage Tour and really enjoyed our excursion.
  • Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Bahamas — The most beautiful beach of any private island destination for a cruise line. Loved everything about this new Disney Destination.
  • Tortola, British Virgin Island — Loved Visiting the Virgin Gorda Baths. Such a fun excursion for the day.
  • Vancouver, Canada — Vibrant City Life, Unique Canada Place Cruise Terminal
  • Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic — Umbrella Street, Pink Street, Central Park are such a fun and Unique area not far from the cruise port area. But if you just wanted to visit the cruise port area there is loungers and pools as well as a lazy river completely complementary. Several shops and Restaurants even a restaurant with a batting cage. .
  • Punta Cana, Dominican Republic — So many great Adult Only and Family Resorts. Toured many of them and stayed at few. I have some favorites.
  • Georgetown, Grand Cayman — Loved the Sea Turtle Sanctuary and 7 mile beach.
  • Roatan, Hondorus — Two different Cruise ports in different locations. Depends on the cruise line you are sailing which one you will port at. I've been able to visit both. With the recent updates to one of them I need to go back and visit again.
  • Falmouth, Jamaica — Dunn River Falls and Mystic Mountain Excursions will always be one of my favorite memories with my kids. It was so much fun and such an experience.
  • Cozumel, Mexico — One of the most popular cruise ports in the World. So many great options for when you visit.
  • Costa Maya, Mexico — Cruise Port- Not my favorite but has a small port area that is safe and clean.
  • Cancun, Mexico — So many wonderful All Inclusive Resorts to choose from. I have some favorites here.
  • Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos — One of my very favorite Cruise port stops. Absolutely beautiful water and beaches. The port are is clean and well kept. I can't wait to go back.
  • St. Thomas, US Virgin Island — Great place for Diving.
  • Yellowstone, USA — Buffalo, Bear, and other wild animals get to roam and rule here. If the Buffalo decide to walk the road then traffic backs up for hours. But totally worth it all to see and experience this amazing National Park
  • St. Louis, USA — There is so much here. I've done multiple trips here. You can go see the St. Louis Arch at Gateway National Park, Catch a Cardnials Game, or visit Route 66 destinations. Six Flags St. Louis has so coasters we still talk about. But my favorite was my girls trip to St. George at Christmas Time. It was EPIC. So magical and truly a storybook town at Christmas.
  • San Antonio, USA — The Riverwalk... Need I say more.
  • New York City, USA — My first visit was in 2025 and I loved it. There is so much to see and do. I can't wait to come back and experience more of this iconic destination.
  • Kanab, USA — This Utah little Tourist town has been one of our most favorite places we have ever visited. We were so close to so many great things. Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, The North Rim Grand Canyon National Park, Horseshoe Bend, and Pink Sand Dunes State Park
  • Seward, USA — Kenai Fjords National Park is amazing. Whales, Sea Lions, Sea Otters, Mountain Goats, Puffins and more.
  • Ketchikan, USA — Creek Street, Salmon Run, Shopping, Easily Walkable Downtown, and Fun Lumberjack show.
  • Skagway, USA — Yukon Pass Railway, Klondike Doughboy, Shopping, Cute and walkable downtown. My favorite cruise port in Alaska.
  • Sitka, USA — Totem Poles, Sitka National Historic Park, Walkable Downtown. Only downside is you have to take a shuttle from the cruise port to the downtown but it is super easy.
  • Philadelphia, USA — The birthplace of our Nation. So much rich history here. I was brought to tears knowing this is where our nation started and thinking about what our founding Fathers went through to create our nation.
  • Rapid City, USA — Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Badlands NP, Wind Cave NP, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Deadwood, and Wall Drug. So much to see and do in this area.
  • Washington D.C., USA — Visiting the Nations Capital is a right of passage. I visited twice as a child but my first trip as an adult was in 2025. I loved so much about our time in Washington and have some favorite restaurants. Can't wait to go back and see the things we missed.
  • Las Vegas, USA — This city has a reputation... However there is so much fun to be had. From fabulous restaurants, iconic shows, and shopping you won't be bored. I can't wait to visit again. s
  • Anahiem, USA — Disneyland will always hold a special place in my heart. After 5 visits I still feel like I need to go back and see and do. I've stayed at all three onsite resorts and one Good Neighbor Resort. There is so much to love about Disneyland Walt's First Park but also California Adventure is my favorite Disney Park.
  • Orlando, USA — Walt Disney World and Universal Studios will always be a favorite place to visit. When you know what the carpet looks like in the Orlando Airport you know you travel there a lot. I visit probably 2-3 times a year sometimes more. Sometimes it's to jump on a cruise out of Port Canaveral, sometimes it's to visit Walt Disney World, and sometimes it's to visit Universal Studios. Often times it's a combination.
  • Key West, USA — We first visited via Cruise Ship and loved the charm and were captivated by the allure of the island. We promised ourselves in 2012 that someday we would come back via the overseas highway and visit. In 2022 we were about to do just that on our 15th Anniversary Celebration trip. We got to visit again late 2025. Such a charming place.
