You don't need one, but most families find the trip far easier and often better value with one. Your Dream Designer handles resort selection, ticket strategy, dining reservations, and a day-by-day plan for all four theme parks — then keeps watching for promotions after you book. There is no added planning cost for standard Walt Disney World packages.

Seven to eleven months ahead is ideal for the widest choice of resorts and dining, especially for holidays, spring break, and summer. That said, your Dream Designer can still design an excellent trip on shorter notice by targeting the right resort category and park days.

It depends on your budget, your party size, and which parks you plan to visit most. Value, moderate, and deluxe resorts each offer different transportation, dining, and room configurations. Your Dream Designer matches your family to the resort that fits how you actually want to spend your days.

Most first-time guests enjoy a five to seven night trip — one day per park plus a rest or water park day. Shorter trips work well when you focus on two or three parks rather than trying to see everything.
